BURMA: A BRIEF GLIMPSE

Burma is rapidly changing in many ways.

Politically it is on the threshold of democracy after nearly fifty years of military rule.

The people are expectant but apprehensive about the future and what it brings.

In the past few years tourism’s increasingly occupied the lives of more and more localises visitors rise at a frantic pace.

To meet the demands villagers are moving to teens for work as fishermen trade their nets for tourist filled speed boats.

Burma: A breif glimpse by York based Photographer Ray Price is a glance of the rapidly changing face of Burma as it morphs into Myanmar and tomorrows world.

See it while you can before it’s gone forever
